I recently returned from a trip to Colorado to visit my family. The main purpose of the trip was the celebration of my mother's 80th birthday. My mother lives in
Fort Collins. My brother Paul and his wife Corinne flew in from Anchorage to participate in the celebration. In fact, Paul planted the seed for this reunion.
We had another significant celebration. My sister Anne & her husband Jason live in Denver. They have 2 wonderful kids, Dylan & Nell. Jason reached his milestone 50th birthday! We celebrated Thursday night.

We celebrated mom's 80th birthday Friday night. It was fun to prepare and enjoy a fine dinner of roasted pork and potatoes, homemade apple sauce, sauteed kale, gourmet salad and bread. Birthday cake was a chiffon cake adorned with berries.

My parents seemed pleased with the dinner celebration. It was a fun evening!
